Government announced the increase in learning hours for Primary Schools last week saying the changes are part of reforms to improve the quality of education in Malawi.Reacting to the change, education expert Bob Chulu said the increase will enable primary school pupils to learn more and have wide knowledge on various subjects. He added that the primary school learners will have an advantage of using the time to pass exams and achieve their dreams.“ The learners will have the privilege of acquiring more skills and knowledge on several subjects,” Chulu said.According to the new timetable, Standards 2, 3 and 4 learners will now be knocking off at 13:50 from 12:30 while senior classes of standard 5 up to 8 are now to be closing doors of their classrooms at 14:30
